Product Description
Fipronil is a broad-spectrum insecticide that belongs to the phenylpyrazolechemical family. Fipronil disrupts the insect central nervous system byblocking GABA-gated chloride channels and glutamate-gated chloridechannels. This causes hyperexcitation of contaminated insects' nerves andmuscles. Fipronil's specificity towards insects is believed to be due to itsgreater affinity to the GABA receptor in insects relative to mammals and itseffect on GluCl channels, which do not exist in mammals.
Product uses
Fipronil has high activity and wide range of application. It also shows high sensitivity to pests such as Hemiptera, Thysanoptera, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, and pyrethroid and carbamate insecticides that have produced resistance. It can be used in rice, cotton, vegetables, soybeans, rape, tobacco, potatoes, tea, sorghum, corn, fruit trees, forests, public health, animal husbandry, etc., to control rice borer, brown planthopper, rice weevil, cotton bollworm, slime worm, diamondback moth, cabbage worm, cabbage armyworm, beetle, root cutting worm, bulb nematode, caterpillar, fruit tree mosquito, wheat aphid, coccidia, trichomonas, etc. The recommended dosage is 12.5~150g/hm2. China has approved the field efficacy test on rice and vegetables. The preparation is 5% gel suspension and 0.3% granules.
